Being of Assistance
My girlfriend came over today and she was totally telling me that I needed to be of assistance to her when she headed out to the mall later that day. She said that I had been neglecting her needs recently and that she wanted to make me pay for this by having me by her an Excel 2010 training CD. As soon as she made that offer I snatched it right up, because if all I had to do was spend a little money to make up for any of my shortcomings in the chivalry department, then I was totally on board.
But what I ended up learning when we went to the mall that day was that she was asking me for quite a bit. The new Excel 2010 CBT that she was talking about all day was rather expensive, so I guess she really wasn’t letting me off the hook all that easily. But I had agreed, so as soon as we got to the register I whipped out my credit card and charged it. I guess I can take the whole afternoon as a learning experience, one that was rather expensive, and hopefully I will not need to relearn these lessons anytime soon.
